Mookaite is Australian jasper with a dark brown coloration.  Japser is a variety of crypto-crystalline quratz. Jasper occurs worldwide and in all colors. The term jasper is very ancient and comes from the Orient. It was used in Egypt: sacred scarab amulets were carved from red jasper as a symbol of eternal life.  Mookaite symblozies the bond between mother and child.  The reddish areas of this stone is energizing while the yellow spots offer us courage and builds self- esteem.
