This is one of two very special Blue Spinel Crystals from Montana collected by the famous mineral collector Bart Cannon.  Bart was a leader in mineral discovery in the Western part of the US.  This specimen is from the Crazy Sphinx Claim, Lewis and Clark County. 1981.  Bart recently passed on, but his exciting huge mineral collection will shine on.
